To make all this happen, my father, Hans, immigrated to Canada in 1952 with a promise to bring my mother, Marianne, over when he was settled.  When my father arrived in Canada, he had a choice to work as a logger or miner. He tried logging in Northern Ontario but found the heat and bugs in the bush was too much.  When he heard about mining jobs in British Columbia, he decided to headed out there.

March 1955 my father made the arrangements for my mother to join him in Canada.

Your opening remarks sounds very poetic. I love when you say that you want to help people always and try to make a difference.
